James Frost - My First Post - February 2019

A couple of colleagues, having twigged how little work I actually do, suggested recently that I start a blog, whatever that is. So here goes.

As I ambled to walk this morning I was struck by the delightful sound of the birds chatting to one another. I do hope they don’t get too much of a shock when the weather returns to normal – it is still February after all. My weekend involved a quick trip to Zürich to visit my delightful 10 week old granddaughter, Jessica. Please excuse my obvious bias but she is gorgeous. I got back in time to do a small bit of work in my greenhouse and started off one of my garden favourites  – sweet peas. I am going to grow 150 plants this year, 20% or so for domestic service and the rest to dot around the garden centre – I hope that you will drop in and enjoy them. If you are growing them yourself, you will need to make sure there isn’t a moose loose in the green hoose – the little blighters will nibble them to oblivion and will send your soon to be pride and joy to an early sweet pea heaven. Enjoy the unseasonal weather – it won’t last.
