• Application: In flowerbeds and borders and as a cut flower. Ideal for patio tubs and containers.
• Position: Sun or partial shade, protect from strong winds. Lillies dislike hot dry positions e.g. along a south-facing wall.
• Soil requirement: Likes a rather heavy soil with a good supply of humus, but well drained.
• Cultivation: Borders: After planting a covering of peat is recommended to retain moisture in the soil. Remove faded flowers but do not cut back the stems before Autumn. Gardening;Bulbs should not be lifted, but left in the soil to bloom annually for many years. Top dress annually with a good general fertiliser.
Tubs and Containers: For pot culture use a good peat based Gardening;compost. Water pots and containers regularly during the growing and flowering period. Stake if necessary.

The Frost family has been a significant force in the garden centre industry for more than half a century.
Established in 1946, the Frosts name has become synonymous with quality and style in gardening. The original garden shop and plant department opened in 1962. Harvey Frost, with the help of his sons Brian and Adrian, opened Frosts at Woburn Sands. This was one of the first garden centres in the UK and quickly became established as a leader in its field. Today, the business is still family owned and run by brothers, Jeremy and James Frost.
