Chef Manager

We have a vacancy for a Chef Manager in our new Cafe at Frosts Millets Farm near Oxford. This is a new role in a completely new environment and offers the successful applicant considerable scope for innovation and personal development. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the cafe, producing an excellent standard of food and customer service, always driving standards, managing staff and helping us achieve our goals
In order to be considered for this post you must have

• Previous experience from a retail or contract catering background
• A passion for food and working with local produce
• Previous experience as an senior chef or show a successful track record of working in a similar role
• Experience of successfully managing a team
• Work to the highest standards
• Be well organised with a strong craft background and a hands on working approach
This position will require you to work a 10 day fortnight including alternate weekends and occasional late evenings
Package includes salary commensurate with experience, 28 days holiday (including time off for Bank Holidays) and staff discount.

Garden Centre Assistant - Poultry Department

We are looking for a full-time Garden Centre Assistant to join us on a temporary basis during our busy spring/summer season.

Duties will include maintaining the department to a high standard, flock welfare, maintaining the stock levels of poultry and sundry items and general housekeeping.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be self motivated and enthusiastic, with a positive and flexible approach. As this role will require you to handle and work with livestock, an interest in animals is a must. Previous knowledge is not required as training will be provided.

This role requires you to work a 10-day fortnight working pattern which includes alternate weekends and some bank holidays.

Part-Time Garden Centre Assistants

We are currently seeking Garden Centre Assistants to join us on a temporary basis during our busy spring/summer season in the following departments:

• Outside Sales Area including Compost Express
• Landscape
• Tills

We are looking for people with a natural flair for excellent customer service. The ideal candidates will have a flexible approach and will be positive and enthusiastic. Good communication skills are vital. Knowledge of plants would also be advantageous for the Outside Sales Area. Previous experience within a customer service/retail environment would be an advantage.

General duties will include customer service, merchandising, restocking and housekeeping. You may also assist in other Departments and with till operation as required.

Various hours are available, and availability to work weekends and bank holidays is essential.

Kitchen Assistants

We are seeking two enthusiastic Kitchen Assistants to join the team in our busy Garden Room Restaurant.

The successful candidates will be motivated team players, with excellent communication skills and a positive and flexible approach.

Previous experience of basic food preparation within a kitchen environment would be an advantage. A basic food hygiene certificate is also required.

We have one full time vacancy which would require you to work a 10-day fortnight including alternate weekends and some bank holidays, and one part-time vacancy working alternate weekends.

Purchase Ledger / Accounts Assistant

We are currently looking for an experienced purchase ledger / assistant to join our Accounts team at Woburn Sands. Your role will primarily involve processing purchase invoices, although there could be opportunities to get involved in other areas of accounts work.

This is a busy department within a growing company. Relevant experience is a must and you will be a team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.

This position will require you to work full time, Monday to Friday, a minimum of 35 hours per week.
